Maxwell has collaborated with 3-4-year-olds to bring their drawings to life. Turning children’s drawings into life-size standing sculptures he relinquishes his own artistic gesture to create art that reflects the inner child of adults.

.

“I’m very aware that the integrity of my own drawing is muddied by the years of artistic influences and schooling that have refined my style. By facilitating the work of children I free myself up from some of these influences to create art that is more primal, symbolic and uncorrupted –  some facets I love most about art.”
